Lauren Woodside de Alegre, a member of MVPC, is serving with Food for the Hungry in Lima, Peru.

Food for the Hungry is a Christian relief and development agency whose mission is to walk with churches, leaders and families in overcoming all types of human poverty by living in right relationship with God and his creation.
 
As the relief and emergency preparedness coordinator in Peru, Lauren is currently working as project coordinator for the various relief and rehabilitation projects FH is carrying out in Chincha, Peru (about 3 hours south of Lima).

Update 3 - 2012

Dear friends and family,

I hope you all have had a wonderful beginning to 2012.  Cristian and I are doing well, keeping busy with work, ministry and trying to take advantage of the sunny summertime weather in Lima.

Please go to my blog link above for my most recent post.There are some great pictures of Huancavelica, the southern mountain region where Food for the Hungry has begun work this past January.

Also, as many of you have already heard, Cristian and I are expecting our first child in August. Please be praying for us, the baby and that we would be able to find the right Dr.
