3-7-2012 Update

Looking Back

**The new translation teams in Nepal are off to a good start on Luke 2 and I'm getting good reports on the success of a new process that we are trying. Thanks for praying.

**All of the teams were involved in a story writing workshop in January, learning how to write simple stories that can be developed into easy-readers for future new literates. They are now in the field testing these stories. Pray for safe travels, good feedback to improve their stories, and that God would bless the teams' interactions in their communities where very few follow Christ.

**At the end of my last trip I had a precious few days with my parents in Arizona, followed by an incredible hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon with all 3 boys.

** Joshua has had a nasty virus the past week and has missed a lot of school. Pray for his full recovery.

Looking Ahead

**Once again I am writing this as I begin another trip. Today I meet with The Seed Company, a key funding partner for our work in Nepal. Thursday and Friday I meet with various leaders from Asia with the goal of developing a finance management structure that can support our new strategies that are aimed at meeting the needs of all remaining Bibleless peoples in Nepal. I have NO idea about finance, but represent our work in Nepal so that the finance brains can serve us.  Saturday I meet with a consultant to work on developing a monitoring and evaluation system for our expanding work in Nepal. Pray for the Lord's help to make all of these things fruitful for Him.

**On Monday I have the exciting opportunity to meet with the Nepalese Ambassador to the US in Washington, DC, to represent SIL's work in Nepal to him. Pray that I would honor Christ in this meeting, and that God would use this for His glory to bless the peoples of Nepal. I'll be home Monday night.

**LB finished another term of Bible curriculum in February; she begins work today on a new term's lessons for Grade 2. Pray that the Spirit would lead her in this process.

Resting in God's goodness,

Jeff, Laura Beth, and boys
