5-8-12 Update
Dear Prayer Warriors,
Matthew 25:35-40 states: "For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink; I was a stranger and you invited me in; I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me..... I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these you did for me!" This verse this week has been truly an encouragement in my life as I think of all the people that the Lord has brought into my life these past few months and how their needs have been ministered too!
Praise:
1) "The Spot" continues to get 10 kids showing up consistently the last few weeks! It has been so great getting to know each one of them and we are looking forward to living life with them! The Lord constantly amazes us, as he continues to provide food each week for us to feed the teens with! We have had more than enough to send home with the teens! THANK YOU for your faithfulness in praying!
Prayer/Update:
1) Continue prayers for the Sotelo family: They will not be able to get into a shelter for another two months which is very discouraging for them. Alex and Jenny (the two teens) are struggling immensely right now with being homeless and are really questioning why God is allowing this to happen. (Jenny has been more open to talking about it, Alex however is closing everyone off) Pray for peace for this family, encouragement for each new day, and HOPE that can only be found in Christ. Pray for me-that I would know how to encourage the kids well and would be able to help the family in any way that I can. Pray for the mother Laura-that she would continue to love her kids well and wouldn't lose hope at this situation! This family has grown very dear to my heart! I am so THANKFUL that the Lord has allowed me to interact with Alex and Jenny on a daily basis. My hope is that through me they would be able to experience the love of Christ.
2) For the next two months: The rest of May and June are crazy for all YFC staff. Please be praying for us as we finish the school year strong and get ready for summer! Pray for strength and stamina-we are all very tired.
3) For Volunteers/Staff for Bellevue next year: Please be praying that the Lord would raise up a team of people that can come alongside me next year and help out with ministry at "THE SPOT."
Thank you so much for your encouragement and love! I appreciate each one of you and your prayers mean so much to me!
