FH works with churches, leaders and families to help overcome all forms of human poverty by living in healthy relationship with God and His creation. Food for the Hungry goes to the hard places – places darkened by poverty, war and injustice – to bring hope and help to children, families and communities in the most impoverished countries around the world.

 

FH embraces an intensely personal and biblical response to God’s call to end physical and spiritual hungers worldwide. This intentional walk with the poor mirrors God’s walk with each of us, recognizing our own brokenness and His transforming grace that brings out our God-given potential.

 

This huge and staggering call from God is expressed well in Micah 6:8, a central passage that undergirds FH's walk with the poor. “What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”
