Relating Educating And Communicating Hope
"God has blessed us ... to be a blessing."

KidREACH builds one to one mentoring relationships with at-risk elementary students in our neighborhood.KidREACH is a unique, one-to-one academic mentoring program which provides help and encouragement for students in our neighborhood identified as academically and/or economically at-risk. One volunteer tutor works with one child each week to build a relationship, assist with homework (basic reading and math), social skills, and foster hope.
Do YOU have a couple of hours a week to help with school work and be a friend to one child?
Our 2014/2015 school year tutoring session begins in October.
We always have need for substitute tutors to join us at any time of the year. Please contact us if you have any questions.
When?Tutoring sessions are held October through May (allowing for school breaks), Thursdays from 3:30 to 5:45 p.m.
Why?During their Thursday afternoons at KidREACH, each student has the full attention of a caring adult/older youth mentor. We work in partnership with each child’s teacher and family serving as Christ’s hands and feet, demonstrating His love for them in practical ways.
How YOU can help:No experience is needed! Training is provided.
If you'd like more information or to talk to a team member about how you can volunteer with KidREACH, please fill out this form and a team member will be in contact.
- If you can’t make a weekly commitment, we also need substitute tutors, snack helpers, administrative help, special event planners and PRAYER partners.
- High School Seniors: consider mentoring an elementary school student as the basis of your Senior Project.
- PRAY. Ask the Lord to equip and empower us to help the children He sends our way to realize their God-given potential. And to bless and multiply our efforts to extend His love to children, families and teachers in our community, in His name.
